Impact of the Internet on Children
Ass. Prof. Dr. Aysu Arsoy has made a TV appearance promoting the Cyberethics Project in the Northern Part of Cyprus on the Education and Culture TV channel of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Dr. Arsoy and her TV host Mr. Hasan Kucuk have discussed about the impacts of internet on children's development process. Digital ethics and literacy, internet ethics and literacy, mobile technology, reliable websites and content and the role of parents in this process were the main topics that were analysed and discussed by Mr. Kucuk and the subject expert Dr. Arsoy.
The Cyberethics campaign in the northern part of the island was undertaken by Turkish Cypriot NGO, The Olive Branch, for which Dr. Aysu has worked between 2006 and 2010.
