Short Bio

Marie joined the Future Worlds Center in February 2014 as a legal advisor focused on the Provision of Free Legal Assistance to Asylum Seekers, funded by European Refugee Fund's Solidarity Funds. This project offers legal and social support, free of charge, to asylum seekers and refugees currently in Cyprus.


She holds a degree in law from the University of Leicester (LLB) and a Masters Degree in Public Law (LLM) with a focus on Human Rights and Miscarriages of Justice from the University of Bristol. She became a member of the Cyprus Bar Association in 2013. Before joining the FWC team she worked as an attorney at a legal firm primarily focusing on negligence cases, insurance, road traffic accidents and litigation.
