Networking and relationship building are bedrock to civil society organizations - they have the capacity to increase CSOs visibility and sustainability, to develop their partnerships and resources. Civil Society Acts Beyond Borders' series of advanced civil society training workshops held a two day training on 29 and 30 December, 2013. Held in Bethlehem, the Palestinian Territories, the 'Networking and Relationship Building' workshop deepened participants' knowledge of these key concepts.

On 29 December, the training opened with a re-introduction to networking. The day was filled with sessions concerned with networking and related topics, including: What is Networking? You Already Know How to Network, and You Know More People Than You Think. Through these discussions, participants were provided an in-depth networking overview. The second day started with a review of the previous days' materials. This was followed by an examination of important networking concepts. These include: knowing what you want before you begin to network, methods to utilize your references, and ways to evaluate your network. By the trainings culmination participants advanced their networking and relationship building skills, and developed tools to enhance their operations in civil society.
