Andy is the founder of Demosophia LLC, a firm specializing in helping people understand and address their most complex, messy and wicked problems using Structured Democratic Dialogue as one of Demosophia's primary tools. Andy has over 20 years experience in the nuclear power industry, and more than ten in public education and education assessment. He was recognized for his contributions in both industries and for his volunteer work in both education and as a city planning commissioner.

He has written about applying root cause principals in education, about using assessments and data in education, and about how goal setting, when done wisely, can improve the effectiveness of educators.
