Future Words Center (FWC) announces its cooperation with the Center of Research and Counseling (KESY) of the University of Nicosia. In the frame of their cooperation they organized an educational training on 11 of January 2012. The aim of the cooperation between FWC and KESY is to increase and stabilize the psychological support offered to victims of torture, which in the past has depended on projects with limited durations. The projects under the Humanitarian Affairs Unit of FWC, which include "Strengthening Asylum" (funded by UNHCR) and the Unit for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture will be referring victims of torture to KESY and the two organisations will be in close cooperation for the rehabilitation and psychological suport of this group. FWC and KESY hope to increase this cooperation in the future with the implementation of future projects concerning the rehabilitation of asylum seekers and refugees.
