Relation to Future Worlds Center
Partners with Future Worlds Center in CARDIAC project.
UTL’s mission is to work towards the knowledge society, constantly seeking advances in understanding and wisdom, and to promote sustained human development, by producing and transmitting knowledge, disseminating culture, developing the economic, social and cultural value of scientific knowledge, and providing services to the community.
In fulfilling its mission, UTL:
- focuses on scientific research, teaching, technological development, innovation and lifelong training;
- promotes the development of synergies between the scientific areas in which it is involved;
- embraces the principle of internationalisation, as embodied in the mobility afforded students, teachers and researchers, and in participation in university training and research and development networks;
- seeks to contribute to the competitiveness of the Portuguese economy by fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation;
- places a high value on social responsibility, through its efforts to integrate its graduates into the world of employment, and promotes humanist values in their scientific and artistic aspects.
