Civil Society Acts Beyond Borders’ two day “Managing Staff and Volunteers in Civil Society Organization” workshop commenced on June 29, 2013. Held in Bethlehem, the Palestinian Territories, this event taught Palestinian CSO representatives relevant managerial skills. The agenda for June 29 began with an introduction to management, followed by a case study introduction to the CSOs, presentations on job descriptions, interviews, volunteer motivation, and recognizing and rewarding volunteer contributions. Experts on day two of the workshop discussed individual needs, performance objectives, leadership skills, and used interactive exercises to develop participants listening and feedback skills.
