The [[Act Beyond Borders]] Final International Human Rights Conference is the culmination of a three-year European Union funded project. Coordinated by the [[Future Worlds Center]] in Nicosia, Cyprus, and with the assistance of local partners, the [[Palestinian Dialogue Center]] in the Palestinian Territories and the [[Association for Progressive Education in Honor of Meir Yaari]], in Israel, this project enhances CSO’s capacity to act within their communities, and on the national and trans-national levels as well.

During the conference a number of speeches will be made from representatives of the European Union, Future World Center President [[Yiannis Laouris]], as well as the Centers partners; Mr Amos Davidowitz from the[[Association for Progressive Education in Honor of Meir Yaari]] and Mr Hasan Mahariq from the[[Palestinian Dialogue Center]]. Motivational guest speakers from various peacebuilding groups have also been invited to share their knowledge and enhance the overall experience of the conference. These speakers include, with respect; Ms Ellada Evangelou from the Association for Historical dialogue, Ms Meltem Ikinci from The Center for Sustainable Peace and Democratic Development,Mr Mete Hatay from PRIO, Ms Olga Demetriou a Senior Research Consultant at PRIO, Ms Maria Hadjipavlou an Associate Professor from the Department of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cyprus and Mr Ashraf E. M. Alajrami a social activist.


We are also honoured to have Ms Eleni Loukaidou Deputy Mayor of Nicosia and Ms Deniz Birinci Director of International Relations at Nicosia Turkish Municipality, present speeches to open the event.
