Fatema has a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Nicosia. She also completed introductory courses of social sciences, basic theoretical concepts of social science, research methods and a few more (within the course of bachelor degree program of Social Science) with the Open University in UK, which she passed with distinction. She is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Social Work at the University of Nicosia, with a full scholarship. She has been working in the field of migration and asylum since 2005 in Cyprus, as a staff member of KISA - Action for Equality, Support, Antiracism.
