The Global Education Innovation Award 2017 is a yearly award given by GENE – Global Education Network Europe to projects which have a strongly innovative character. The award is accompanied by a 10,000 euro gift to be used for an innovative extension of the project. GENE is a European network of Ministries, Agencies and other national bodies responsible for support, funding and policy-making in the field of Global Education. It includes over 40 Ministries, Agencies and other national bodies, from over 25 countries. In 2017, Future Worlds Center received this award for the project Map Your Meal.
