Joseph S. Joseph is Associate Professor of International Relations and holder of the Jean Monnet Chair in European Foreign and Security Policy at the University of Cyprus, where he was Chair of the Department of Social and Political Sciences until December 2004.  He received his B.A. from Panteion University (Greece); M.A. from the University of Stockholm (Sweden); and Ph.D. from Miami University (USA). He was a post-doctoral fellow at Harvard and taught at the University of Alabama, Gustavus Adolphus College, and Miami University.  He also served as Minister Plenipotentiary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus.  He has published five books with leading international publishers (St. Martin’s Press, Macmillan, Peter Lang, Palgrave and Papazissis [Greece]).  He also published about fifty chapters and articles in scholarly journals. He presented about 100 papers at international conferences and gave lectures at leading universities including Oxford, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Johns Hopkins etc.
