===Short Biography===
Lina started her studies with Bachelor of Science in Special Studies at St. Francis College at Brooklyn, New York from 1998 to 2001.
Then she continued with master of Science in Neuroscience with special field "Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities" at Staten Island College - City University of New York from September 2002 to December 2004.
During all years studies, active as an assistant professor at St. Demetrios Highschool in New York, as a trainee at IBR Research Center for Developmental Disabilities in New York and at Staten Island College.
Lina was research assistant at Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics also.
After her studies she started work as a collaborator at Cyfeed Biofeedback Center in Nicosia from September 2004 to November 2004.
From April to August 2005 and March to October 2005 Lina worked parallel as Special Education Teacher at "Stigmes Zoes" Center for Children with Disabilities in Cyprus and as a Institutional Manager at "St. Demetrios" Center for the Elderly respectivly.
Lina's research interests are in Neurobehavioral and Neurodevelopmental Disorders and special in ADHD and Autism.
Computer games for cognitive disabilities in children is also a field that shows interest.

Lina Kourtella joined Future Worlds Center in 2004 until 2005 and working with Yiannis Laouris in a number of neuroscience projects. Now, she is again part of the organization from the beggining of 2016.
