Short Bio
Corina holds a degree in law from the Aristotelian University in Thessalonica, Greece, and a Master of Laws (LLM) in International and European Law from the University of Leicester, UK.
Projects and work
Corina works primarily on a UNHCR funded project entitled “Strengthening Asylum in Cyprus”. The project offers legal and social support, free of charge, to asylum seekers and recognized refugees in Cyprus. Other responsibilities within the scope of the project include raising awareness on related issues, promoting the rights of the beneficiaries of the project and offering consultation to other bodies and organizations running similar projects. Corina has also assisted the Unit for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture, a project implemented by FWC under the national European Refugee Fund, as a legal advisor on a part-time basis; as well as contributing to a research project under the Ministry of Interior titled ‘Inclusion/Exclusion of Refugees in Cyprus’.
