Mrs. "Marcia Kammitsi" joined the [[Future Worlds Center]] team in January 2009 up until July of 2009, a crucial period for the organization as it this was the start up phase of the [[JUMPSTART the Peace]] project Marcia got to manage. During her stay with the team, Marcia coordinated with the Turkish Cypriot partner and all relevant stakeholders, attended meetings and workshops organized by the EU task force and organized the first training of the project on conflict resolution and capacity building. She left the organization to pursue masters in International Law from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University in the US. | |||

Marcia received a Law Degree (L.L.B. rated 2.1) from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom in 2001. She continued her studies to pursue a Certificate in French Language and Civilization from La Sorbonne, Paris in 2003 and a Master of Arts in International Politics from the Centre Européen de recherches internationales et stratégiques (CERIS), Brussels in 2006. | |||

She attended a number of organizational meetings both with project partners and funding authority | |||
assisted the Head of Global Education on the inclusion of MDGs in the education curriculum and attended schools where she participated in classrooms discussions. She also assisted in the drafting of proposals especially in relation to the European Democracy and Human Rights Instrument (EIDHR). As a person with a legal background she also followed closely and showed an interest in the UNHCR funded project “Strengthening asylum in Cyprus.” | |||
