Siim defended Bachelor degree in Tallinn University of Technology (Product Development) in 2008 and has worked as mechanical engineer from 2005-2013. In year 2011 joined with Tartu Art School team as a 3D and technical drawing teacher, from spring 2019 as a head of 3D department. From fall 2020 started master studies in Tallinn University in Digital Learning Games.

Siim Soonsein joined the GNOUS and Future Worlds Center group 11th of Oct 2021 to conduct a 9-week training as part of his Erasmus VET internship Tartu Art School. Siim works under the guidance of Marios Podinas and Yiannis Laouris with respect to the GNOUS project, and for his possible master thesis at Tallinn University Digital Learning Games curriculum.
