Xenia studied Political Science at the University of Cyprus and completed a Master in International Relations from the Univ. of Essex, UK. Before joining Future Worlds Center (at that time: Cyprus Neuroscience & Technology Institute), she was employed as a Research Assistant for the Univ. of Cyprus for projects "Women and Politics," Volunteerism, and " "Turkey's Foreign Policy on Cyprus".

Xenia is a strong supporter of the reunification of Cyprus and has been active in many bicommunal forums. She has accumulated experience in EU programs having received funding for a EUROMED project prepared by her in the framework of Y2P. She also served as Researcher for Eucitizenship.net, as Administrator for EUMEDIS project [[MedPride]], and as the Manager for a Leonardo project [[Biblio.For.Meda]].

Xenia served as Vice-President of the European Youth Forum and Chair of the European Steering Committee for the Structured Dialogue. She is currently working as research officer at the UCY in the Proposals Preparation Office as expert on European grants. She was also a candidate for the 2011 parliament elections with the Democratic Rally.
