Due to the World Telecommunications and Information Society Day, [[CYTA]] organised a Conference, on the 15th of May 2009, to inform and raise awareness among interested parties, parents and children regarding the safe use of internet. The topic was “Protecting Children in Cyberspace”. Speakers were from Cyprus and Abroad. Participants were from the Police, Teachers, Students, Ministry of education, Media etc. [[CyberEthics GII: Island-wide combined Safer Internet Awareness Node, Hotline, Helpline]] project was also promoted during the conference and the participants were asked to benefit from the available services and resources of the project.
