Relation to Future Worlds Center

Georgina has been with the FWC since 2008. She started as Project Assistant Coordinator for the Cyberethics project and soon became the project's coordinator. She continued to coordinate Cyberethics GII and currently Cyberethics GIII). In the meantime she has also been working on other projects such us Diagnosis of the education needs and growth of the local authorities in Cyprus project, CARDIAC, Identifeye and other projects coordinated by the New Media lab of FWC. Throughout the years, Georgina has also been involved in writing grant applications for the organization.

Biography

Short Bio

Georgina Siitta Achilleos has been working as a project Coordinator for the Cyprus Safer Internet Center - Cyberethics project since 2008 in Cyprus contributing to the enhancement of awareness to teachers, parents and children on the correct use of the Internet and new technologies. She was an assistant Coordinator to the ‘Diagnosis of the education needs and growth of the local authorities in Cyprus’ program, were SDDs and interviews were contacted around Cyprus with partner organizations CIIM and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York. Mrs. Siitta Achilleos has also participated in many ICT projects in different positions executed by the New Media Lab of CNTI and also works as the liaison to the Head for many operational issues regarding the projects and the organization. She is a trained facilitator of structured dialogue (SDDSM) and has organized and participated in dozens of settings in several countries. Mrs. Siitta Achilleos has a great interest in the new technologies and the influence they have on the socio-psychological aspects of children and adults life but also to the societal evolution.
