Short Description
The TeachMDGs Summer School is a weeklong learning and exchange event for teachers and DE practitioners financed by the EU through the TeachMDGs project. The aim is capacity-building of teachers taking part in shool linking between Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa who are wishing to gain skills, new methods and knowledge to improve their school linking practices. A total of 30 participants, teachers and DE practitioners, from Europe and sub Saharan African met in Lithuania to work together, enhance their knowledge in global education and were given the opportunity to engage in project partnerships with schools from the participating countries to work on Joint themes related to the Millennium Development Goals. The Summer School experience lasted one week from Wednesday the 13th of June to Wednesday the 20th of June, 2012.
