Matthew was a volunteer at the FWC from September 2006 to January 2007. He con- ducted his practicum as part of a Masters degree he was completing at Portland State University (USA). During his tenure at the FWC, Matthew contributed to the content of the “Extending EU Citizenship to the eastern end of Europe” project website. He added over 60 articles, many of which were summarized and analyzed for the reader. Matthew also contributed to several organizational tasks, including editing academic articles, supporting staff with their projects, and participating in grant writing. An impor- tant project that Matthew undertook and completed during his short stay was the video- taping and interviewing of all staff, presenting the FWC to the outside world. Matthew has prior working experience in international settings.
