The Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Deu (PSSJD) is composed by several health care centres and focuses on bringing together basic research scientists and research clinicians. PSSJD counts with a highly specialized Clinical Trials Unit, which offers expert advice to researchers on ethical standards. The Psychiatric Hospital Unit Of Prison of Catalonia (UHPP-C) is located inside the Brians I penitentiary in Barcelona. It consist of a multidisciplinary team with the purpose of diagnosing, evaluating treating mental disease patients who are in the prisons of Catalonia.
