Zoe Apostolidou

Zoe Apostolidou has collaborated with Future Worlds Center in several occasions. Her first interaction was in the 90s as a student of the CYBER KIDS project. In the summer of 2012 she was one of the selected youth leaders who have participated in the Reinvent democracy week-long structured democratic dialogue co-Laboratory, which aimed to take apart and reconstruct the concept of democracy, an EU founding principle, and envision a new system of democracy, as well as identify the obstacles we face in implementing it. In the Fall of 2012, Zoe co-organised the Engaging citizens to reinvent democracy as part of the Reinventing Democracy initiative. Zoe is a trained Facilitator for the Structured Dialogic Design Process.
Zoe has joined as full time associate the Humanitarian Affairs Unit of Future Worlds Center in April 2014. She worked on the Mapping Protection Needs of Syrians which was funded by the UNHCR.
Short Bio
Zoe holds a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Cyprus, a MA degree in General Psychology from The New School in NY, USA and a Doctorate degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Wales in the UK. She has worked in a number of NGOs and charitable organisations and provided psychological therapy and psychosocial support to migrants, asylum-seekers, women suffering from domestic violence, as well as, with individuals facing other psychosocial difficulties.
