Eleni Michailidou holds a PhD from the Web Ergonomics Lab in the School of Computer Science at the University of Manchester, UK. She received a B.Sc. in Engineering Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona (USA) in 2004 and a M.Sc. in Advanced Computer Science with ICT Management from the University of Manchester, in 2005. Her research interests focus on Human-Computer Interaction, specifically in the area of Web Accessibility. Eleni is currently a Research Fellow and Special Scientist at the Human Computer Interaction and Inclusive Design Lab of the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts at Cyprus University of Technology.

Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction, specifically in the area of Web Design and Development, as formal and informal learning environments with focus on Usability and Accessibility. She is interested in improving and enhancing users' and learners’ experience with the Web as its complexity increases over time taking into account users' cognitive characteristics.
