The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation started operating the first radio in Cyprus in 1953 as Cyprus Radio and launched the first Cypriot Television in 1957. The great development of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation began in 1960, after Cyprus become independent. During this period it changed from Cyprus Radio to Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation and it has since operated as a semi-government organization.

Relation to Future Worlds Center
