Social and business entrepreneur, neuroscientist and systems engineer, Chair of Future Worlds Center, and Lead Software Design Engineer for Ekkotek Ltd. He was one of 12 experts who co-authored the Onlife Manifesto on behalf of the Digital Futures Task Force, which now guides EC funding priorities, as well as political and societal priorities in the hyper-connectivity era. He is Co-Founder and Director of CYBERETHICS: Cyprus Safer Internet Center. His team has envisioned, designed and implemented more than a dozen funded projects related to safer internet, cyber crime and cyber security, and he is actively involved in many related initiatives and policy groups, i.e., Insafe, INHOPE, CCI, EUKIDS Online, ECSO, Cybercrime Centre of Excellence, ECTEG – Europol, etc. His work is published in several books, over 100 scientific papers and honored with more than 10 distinguished awards.
