The panel discussion took place in Tiberias on the 29th of August 2013 and is a part of the activities organized under the Act Beyond Borders project. Representatives from both the Palestinian and the Israeli civil society presented the connection between human rights in Israel and the oPT, democracy in Israel and the oPT and connected it to their past military service and future reserve service. This heightened their understanding of “the other side” in relation to their actions in service. The discussion also focused on the connection between economic rights and standard of living and peace.
