On the occasion of World Refugee Day 2015, the 2nd annual Street Festival organised by the Future Worlds Center in celebration of the World Refugee Day. The festival is co-organised with the UNHCR Representation in Cyprus, and is held in collaboration with Cypriot organizations and refugee communities. This year’s festival took place on Wednesday the 17th of June, at Faneromeni Square in Old Nicosia.

This year’s celebration included:

• Art & craft exhibition by Cypriot & refugee communities • Traditional food prepared by refugee communities living in Cyprus • Kids’ corner to entertain young people • Information stands by participating organisations • World Music played by Claudio

This Street Festival was organised to celebrate the rich culture brought by refugees to every host society, to raise awareness on refugee issues, and to strengthen the solidarity between the Cypriot and refugee communities.
