Nicolina Karaolia joined Future Worlds Center in July 2015 as a project assistant for the Global Education Unit and specifically for the UNDEF project "Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era".

Nicolina has a BA in Education and a Masters in Human Rights and has worked as a teacher, trainer, project assistant, researcher and election observer in Cyprus and abroad. She has interned with the Cyprus Mission to the United Nations and the Fundamental Rights Agency of the European Union and has worked with the EU and the OSCE in election observation missions.

Currently, Nicolina is a volunteer Coordinator for the Cyprus Friendship Programme, a peacebuilding organization which works with youth aiming to build bridges of communication and friendship between teenagers from the Greek and Turkish Cypriot communities in Cyprus.
