The IQ Trainer was a game developed in 1997 in an experiment to test whether the IQ score can be improved through training.

The game was developed in the context of a class project taught by Yiannis Laouris at the Higher Technical Institute. It modeled the standard WISC diagrams. The students who worked on the development were Yiannos Constantinou Sakis Theodosiou. The game was piloted with CYBER KIDS. The result was a 5-10% increase in score after 1 month of using it.

The result should not be interpreted as if it actually increases the IQ. It only proves that exercise can improve performance when dealing with pattern recognition, mental rotation and extrapolations exercises. Further research has been planned but never conducted.
