Ms. Wittig holds a M.A. degree in Political Sciences – International Relations/ Peace and Conflict Studies from Tübingen University in Germany. She has conducted her research for her dissertation in Cyprus 2004, and has been working with Future Worlds Center since 2005. She is coordinating the EU-funded European projects ‘Accessing Development Education’ and its new phase, ‘TeachMDGs’ – mainly aiming at increasing awareness and public support for the Millennium Development Goals by actively engaging teacher training institutes, teachers and pupils in developing teaching resources promoting the MDGs and by offering comprehensive initial and in-service teacher trainings. Ms. Wittig she represents the FWC in the Cyprus Development NGO Platform, where she currently holds the position of the Secretary, and in the Cyprus Island-wide NGDO Platform (CYINDEP). On behalf of the platform, she is a member of the Development Education Forum, one of the working groups of CONCORD. Kerstin also represents FWC in the Cyprus Network for Youth Development.
