I completed my postgraduate studies in Health Psychology (MSc) in Bath in the UK.The master followed my undergraduate degree in Psychology, from Panteion University of Athens. The degree included 66 modules on every major field of psychology (Social, Clinical, Educational, Experimental and Forensic Psychology). Professionally, I am currently involved with Future Worlds Center (FWC), which in addition to other activities it also offers services of psycho-social nature to refugees and asylum seekers via its Humanitarian Affairs Unit. My involvement translates to coordinating a project for victims of torture,“Promotion and dissemination of good practice in addressing specific needs of vulnerable groups – especially victims of torture and human rights violations”; at the same time I am working as a Social Advisor for the Unit for Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture (URVT) which operates under the umbrella of FWC. The Social Advisor of URVT offers social services to refugees or asylum seekers, survivors of torture.
