The '''Educational Hypermedia (Hibernation)''' project was envisioned, designed and implemented as a joint project between the newly established [[New Media Lab]] of the [[Cyprus Neuroscience and Technology Institute]] and the [[Knowledge Media Research Center]] under the leadership of [[Yiannis Laouris]] and [[Peter Gerjets]]. On both ends it was funded through organisational resources. The aim of the project was to develop a hypermedia learning environment in which to test whether visual or auditory presentation modes where preferred for visual or auditory learners. The learners were classified using the [[Mental Attributed Profiling System]]. The experiments were performed on Cypriot students and the subject domain was chosen to be hibernation of animals in Germany to ensure that both the experimental and the control group had similar prior know;edge (i.e., in both cases low). | |||
