Co-organised by all partners on 05/04/2012, the SID conference gathered more than 310 students, teachers and parents with presentations from experts and panel discussions from experts and youth representatives.
On the 05 of April 2012 a conference/workshop at Engomi High School was organized in the context of [[CyberEthics GIII: Island-wide combined Safer Internet Awareness Node, Hotline, Helpline]].

The conference started with a welcoming address from the Head-mister of the Engomi High School Mr. Aristos Aristotelous, the Minister of the of the Ministry of Education & Culture Mr. Giorgo Dimosthenous and the President of the Engomi School Parents Association Mr. Haris Mauromoustakakis. First, there was a presentation on the "Opportunities and Challenges on the Internet" by [[Anastasia Oikonomou]] (Cyprus Pedagogical Institute), [[Iliada Spyrou]]([[Safer Internet Helpline Coordinator]]) and [[Vanessa Antoniadou]] ([[Microsoft Cyprus]]). After the presentation followed a workshop in where 20 young volunteers were trained in order to become peer coaches for the safer use of the Internet.

On the 05 of April 2012 a conference/workshop at Engomi High School was organized in the context of CyberEthics GIII: Island-wide combined Safer Internet Awareness Node, Hotline, Helpline.

The conference started with a welcoming address from the Head-mister of the Engomi High School Mr. Aristos Aristotelous, the Minister of the of the Ministry of Education & Culture Mr. Giorgo Dimosthenous and the President of the Engomi School Parents Association Mr. Haris Mauromoustakakis.
