Dora Heracleous is a member of the Global Education Unit of Future Worlds Center since 2018. She is Project Officer for three projects: Global Education Goes Local, MigratED and Youth of the World: transformative power of Global Education. She also participates in the project The Long Way to Europe as a local partner with the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (Cyprus).

She is an educator and a sociologist, specialised in Gender Studies and Feminist Philosophy. She studied Modern Greek Literature, as well as Sociology at the University of Cyprus and did her Masters in Linköping University (Sweden). During her studies, she participated to numerous workshops and conferences abroad, such as Students for Europe (Brussels, Belgium) a European Parliament simulation training, Inclusive Disability (Gothenburg, Sweden) a Volvo workshop for people with disabilities as part of Volvo's corporate social responsibility and Leadership for Peacemaking (Istanbul, Turkey)a workshop on dignity and conflict resolution for Greek-Cypriot, Turkish-Cypriot, Greek, and Turkish youth facilitated by Donna Hicks (Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, Harvard University).

Education was always part of Dora's interests as she has extensively worked with children and teenagers. She is currently a peace education trainer facilitating workshops on education for a culture of peace with Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot children and youth.
