Public Consultation for Anexartisias/Limassol
The Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK) contracted the study, which concerned the undertaking of the process for conducting a Public Consultation regarding the forthcoming redevelopment of Anexartisias Street in Limassol. The assignment was made by the Limassol Municipality (Contracting Authority)on 16/03/23.
For this purpose, ETEK appointed a working group comprising specialized experts in matters of Public Dialogue/Public Consultation and Structured Democratic Dialogue:
The assignment for conducting the Public Consultation included the following:
- Study of the available material related to the subject under investigation
- Meetings with consultants and experts in consultation processes,
- Communication with stakeholders/involved parties,
- Preparation of presentation material, highlighting the issue under consideration, and formulation of the “key” question,
- Preparation of a questionnaire for the general public and posting it on the Municipality’s website and social media, etc.,
- Organization of one (1) event with physical presence, with stakeholders/involved parties,
- Collection, processing, and categorization of submissions/proposals from partners/stakeholders,
- Collection, processing, and categorization of submissions/proposals from the general public,
- Drafting of a results report,
- Publication of responses/proposals/submissions on the Municipality’s website,
- Presentation of results/proposals.
PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
The purpose of this particular study was the preparation and submission of the results of the Public Consultation regarding the subject under investigation, together with an analytical presentation of all stages and procedures followed until its completion.
It is clarified that under no circumstances does the purpose of the study involve the proposal or recommendation of any specific action or intervention concerning the subject under investigation.
