It was part of the [[Using Technology for Virtual Negotiation and Peace]] project, which was supported by grant to the [[Institute of World Affairs]] chaired by [[Hrach Gregorian]]. The grant was funded by the [[United Institute of Peace]] and the [[USAID]]. This training workshop began with an introduction to computer technology and communication, the internet, and Microsoft Windows 95. Once participants had a sound foundation in the aforementioned basics, trainers introduced the [[Technology for Peace|Technology for Peace Website]] and its capabilities, e-mail, Internet Relay Chat (IRC), and utilizing the internet for research. After the training workshop an informative report was produced to further disseminate information provided in this training workshop. | ||
