We are collaborating with the [[Centre for Training, Therapy & Research]] in an effort to offer support to victims of torture. Our collaboration has been a reaction to the fact that at present there is no free psychological support provided by the state authorities to victims of torture. 
 
In the last years, several projects offering such services run by NGOs have been terminated and as a result many people who were receiving psychological support have been abruptly left without any support.
A team of trained psychologists and psychotherapists offers support to asylum seekers and refugees who have survived torture, violence, and trafficking as well as dramatic circumstances during their experience as a refugee. This is combined with work of the organization in the context of the [[Unit for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture]] project for victims of torture. The team aims to facilitate the rehabilitation, empowerment, and integration into the Cypriot community, of both individuals and their family members.
KESY offers free psychological support to victims of torture referred by the Future Worlds Center team. Students completing the practicum of the Master’s in Clinical Psychology, who are in turn supervised by experienced professionals, are offering these services.

On June 17th, at Phaneromeni Sq Nicosia, we organized a street festival in cooperation with Refugee communities.
The Street Festival was organised to celebrate the rich culture brought by refugees to every host society, to raise awareness on refugee issues, and to strengthen the solidarity between the Cypriot and refugee communities.

In our effort to raise awareness on refugee issues we have put together a legal portal, which essentially aims to keep people updated on any legal matters and to establish a level of communication between people who are interested in the legal perspective of refugee and asylum matters. 
The portal does not only aim to raise awareness amongst lawyers but also seeks to bring together professionals who will be interested in becoming involved in what we do.
