Swimming competitions for children and teenagers were organised by the Nautical Club, and Myrto Skouroupathi, an Environmental Engineer at Cyprus Energy Agency informed the public about plastic pollution and alternatives to plastic use. * On the 23rd of February of 2019, Lakatamia’s youth council in collaboration with Lakatamia's cycling clubs organised a cycling excursion, the starting point was the cycle lane along Pedieos River. Members of the youth council distributed informative flyers to the pedestrians walking along the river. The action aimed to inform people on the benefits of living a sustainable lifestyle stressing at the same time important issues around sustainable development.
