Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States, he attended Rowan University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Relations. Currently, he is a candidate for a Master of Arts degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution at Arcadia University.

His interests include social justice, expanded voting rights, and clean water access. This past year, he has traveled to Uganda to visit the Zumbo district to learn firsthand the issues surrounding clean water, Northern Ireland to study the cultural implications of the Eleventh Night celebration bonfires, and Sierra Leone to study post-conflict development.
