Active in ISSS periodically since 2003, co-organized mini-Symposia in 2022/23 and pioneered creation of https://wiki.isss.org. Social-, business-, and science entrepreneur, holding an MD (distinction; Germany), a PhD Neurophysiology (summa cum laude; Germany), an MSc Eng (GPA 4.0: USA), and a PhD Systems Engineering (UK). Lead scientist and Chair of Future Worlds Center (www.futureworlds.eu). Founding member of Cyprus Society for Systemic Studies; member of Board of Institute for 21st Century Agoras; national representative in several COST Actions, Insafe, Inhope, EU Kids online, ECSO, Cybercrime Centre of Excellence, ECTEG – Europol, and member of Boards and/or partner in several high-tech companies. One of the 12 authors of the ONLIFE Manifesto, and lead author of Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era Manifesto. Leads internationally the development of theory, tools, and applications of structured dialogic design. Yiannis Laouris is a social, science and business entrepreneur, a neuroscientist and systems engineer. He promotes the application of digital technologies and structured democratic dialogue as tools to harness the collective intelligence and collective wisdom of people. They develop systems to scale up participatory dialogic processes to engage asynchronously thousands of participants in meaningful authentic dialogues, thus accelerating positive societal change. They have implemented more than 100 global projects, engaging thousands, to Re-inventing Democracy and Education in the Digital Era. Yiannis founded Future Worlds Center, the Cyprus Neuroscience & Technology institute, the Cyprus Society for Systemic Studies, and several high-tech companies. He is member of board, national coordinator and/or representative in many European and International bodies, including the Institute for 21st Century Agoras, COST Actions, Insafe, Inhope, EU Kids online, ECSO, Cybercrime Centre of Excellence, ECTEG – Europol, etc. He is one of the 12 authors of the ONLIFE Manifesto.
