Online Safety - Conference/Workshop at Engomi High School 05/04/2012: Difference between revisions

The conference started with a welcoming address from the Head-mister of the Engomi High School Mr. Aristos Aristotelous, the Minister of the of the Ministry of Education & Culture Mr. Giorgo Dimosthenous and the President of the Engomi School Parents Association Mr. Haris Mauromoustakakis. Then, there was a presentation on the "Opportunities and Challenges on the Internet" by [[Anastasia Economou]] (Cyprus Pedagogical Institute), [[Iliada Spyrou]] (Safer Internet Helpline Coordinator) and [[Vanessa Antoniadou]] (Microsoft Cyprus). After the presentation followed a workshop in where 20 young volunteers were trained in order to become peer coaches for the safer use of the Internet.
