The Hellenic Society for Systemic Studies was founded in 2003 and is member of the International Society for the Systems Sciences and International Federation of Systems Research (IFSR). It has been established as a scientific non-profit society in 2003 governed by a council of 11 members. Its founding and first president is Prof. Nikitas Assimakopoulos.
Prof. Nikitas Assimakopoulos teaches in the International SDDP Facilitators Training School.
The Society organizes yearly its Annual International conference in which a number of Future Worlds Center Associates participate.
The Society has honored Aleco Christakis with its 2007 Medal [1] and Yiannis Laouris with its 2008 Award <ref>{http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hellenic_Society_for_Systemic_Studies_Award Winners of the Hellenic Society for Systemic Studies Award].
