The title Senior IT Manager is reserved for the Head of the IT Unit and/or any other person in charge of high level operations within the IT sector of the organization.
People with this title
The key responsibilities are:
Research and recommend software tools to management.
- Test continuously all systems, websites and programs on computers to ensure their smooth and efficient operation
- Introduce and train current and new associates and interns on how to take advantage and use efficiently all technological infrastructure of the organization
- Supervise all people's work on their computers to ensure that they respect all rules regarding band-width usage, anti-virus, backups etc.
- Ensure that all intellectual, cloud-based properties of the organization are secured and continuously backed up.
- Making presentations to customer or client audiences or professional peers.
- Maintain positive client interactions.
- Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
Provide recommendations to management concerning issues of programmer productivity and software development management.
- Work with the Lead Software Design Engineer and the Senior regarding professional skill development through trainings
- Participate in development of long range planning for new projects and facilities.
- Search, summarize and keep the team abreast of strategic information from all sources.
- Capable of writing proposals or papers.
- Making presentations to customer or client audiences or professional peers.
- Maintain positive client interactions.
- Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
- Consult with the Lead Software Design Engineer and the Senior Software Engineer and Project Manager regarding professional skill development through trainings for all associates.
- Participate in development of long range planning for new projects and facilities.
