The [[Cyprus Neuroscience and Technology Institute]] has pioneered as early as 1993 in the organization of the first ever innovation fair in Cyprus. The Fair/Competition was given the name '''Innovation-Technology-Social Progress'' to emphasize that innovation and technology are meant to support and facilitate social progress. The fairs have been co-organized with the [[Institute of Technology]] with the great support of its Director Dr. [[Yiorgos Christodoulides]] and its Vice-Director Dr. [[Costas Conis]]. The fair was also placed under the auspices of THREE ministries at tjhe same time.
