Mrs. Avraamia Kontou joined the Cyprus Neuroscience and Technology Institute in October 2013.

Biography

Avraamia got a honorary diploma and distinction in Cyprus Philatelic contest in 2003 and she was awarded for the First Prize among all the schools of Europe in the 51st Art Competition / Exhibition Ideas in 2004. Then, she graduated from the High School of Latsia in Nicosia Cyprus with a final degree of 19/20 (2005-2008). Now, she holds a BSc in Computer Science from University of Cyprus (2008-2012) and a MSc in Management and Business Administration from University of Cyprus (2012-2013). During her studies in summer 2010 she worked for three months as a Junior Network Engineer in Cablenet Communication Systems Ltd. Later on during 2011, she worked for two months in the Cyprus Organization for Standardization(CYS) where she was responsible for the support of all the secretarial functions, the purchase of services and the management of standards. Now, she is currently in the Cyprus Neuroscience and Technology Institute in order to acquire work experience.

Avraamia has good communication skills gained through her experience in team work since she has worked in various types of teams. During her studies she cooperated with people from Spain in group assignments and group projects (2011). Furthermore, Avraamia has mathematics skills since she managed to get the Mathematics Advanced Level with a distinction. She also managed to acquire the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL certificate) and pass the Computing Ordinary Level with grade B. In addition her computer skills were improved due to her experience and her active participation in the university team projects and presentations. Moreover, she has excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
