The SDD Credit Point System documents the many alternative ways by which any practitioner can earn credits for the SDD Certification Scheme. These are described below:
Certification as Candidate SDD co-Facilitator is complete when at least 10 credits are accumulated. Credits can be earned in the following ways:
- Participant in a regular SDD: 2 credits. Here regular means an SDDP with all steps implemented. For a shorter, demonstration SDDP, 1 credit maybe awarded upon recommendation of the Certified SDD Facilitator conducting the SDDP. A maximum of 4 credits can be earned through participation in SDDPs.
- Secure a Mentor: 1 credit. Any Certified SDD Facilitator has the right to serve as Mentor for both Candidate and Certified co-Facilitators.
- Theoretical training in an SDD School or equivalent: Max 6 credits. For apprenticeship with self-study a max of 3 credits can be earned upon recommendation of the Mentor. Participation in a regular (i.e., at least 3 day long) SDD School awards 2 credits. Up to 6 credits maybe earned through SDD School participation.
- Serving as Broker for the organization of an SDDP or SDD School: 1 or 2 credits (depending on complexity). A max of 2 credits can be earned through this process.
- Special agreement with the Certified Systemic Analyst Professional program. A student who completes the SDD module of the program earns 2 credits. A max of 4 can be earned if a student conducts her/his project on Dialogic Design Science]]. A CSAP graduate can apply for 6 (not overlapping with credits earned for participation in the same program)
