Policy: Signing a Contract with Future Worlds Center
Practically all individuals associated with Future Worlds Center engage in multiple projects in accordance with the Working in multiple projects policy. Typically, for involvement in each project a separate contract must be signed between the organization and the individual. The contract should include all ethical, legal, financial and deliverable related angles of the relationship.
Ethical angles of a contractual relationship with Future Worlds Center
The contract should include the standard text regarding confidentiality and proprietary agreements.
Legal angles of a contractual relationship with Future Worlds Center
The contract should include the standard text foreseen to describe the legal relationship between the two parties.
Financial angles of a contractual relationship with Future Worlds Center
Each contract must include (a) reference to the source of income (e.g., a specific grant contract), a Minimum Monthly Payment, the hourly or daily rate that the contractee is allowed to charge to the project and the maximum number of hours or days that are foreseen and can be charged by the contractee towards the specific project.
The contract should specify the measurable expectations of the organization, either in terms of project deliverables or otherwise.
