Roxana Cárdenas is one of the Candidate SDD co-Facilitator for the American Initiative co-laboratory of Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era.


Dr. Roxana Cárdenas received a Bachelor of Engineering on Industrial and Systems Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey University in 1980. She continued her studies at Aix-Marseille Université with a D.E.A. at Economic Systems Engineering.
From 1989 to 1991 Roxana studied at Tecnológico de Monterrey and received her MSc at Information Systems. She received her Ph.D. in System Science from Cass Business School in 2000.

She has a variety of experience in her field. For about three years - October 2003 to December 2006 - she worked as a Project Manager at Tecnológico de Monterrey. In December 2006, she was offered the role of the Deputy General Director for Planning to Oficina de la Presidencia de la República Mexicana until May 2009. Then, Dr. Roxana worked for Tecnológico de Monterrey again as Director for Social Education and Development from August 2009 to May 2014. Since June 2014 she is the coordinator of the citizen planning programme at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Futhermore, from 1983 until now offer as Faculty at Tecnológico de Monterrey higher education system that outstretch in 26 cities.
