Seth's background started in mechanical engineering and product management. After his BSc Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder (2003 – 2007), he worked for large companies. He started out his career in Seattle working on a $500 million floating bridge project. He then joined United States Patent and Trademark Office as a patent examiner (January 2011 – May 2013) focusing on patents in fluid mechanics. His tasks involved reviewing patent applications to determine the novelty of the product of process. In 2013 he decided to pursue a Master in Business Administration which he completed with Maryland University in 2015.
