Dr. Loredana Mihalka has joined the New Media Lab of the Cyprus Neuroscience and Technology Institute between January and February 2006 as well as between September and December 2006. During her stay she worked on several projects:

  1. Further development of the Mental Attributes Profiling System in the context of the Dynamic Visualizations in Instruction project;
  2. Joined the CyberEthics team;
  3. Joined the team of scientists for the Educational Hypermedia (Hibernation) project, which is a collaboration between the New Media Lab of CNTI and the Knowledge Media Research Center in Germany;
  4. Development of a new project regarding the evaluation of school readiness, for which is co-authored a paper at the EARLI conference (Budapest, August 2007).


Short bio

Ms. Loredana Mihalca is a psychologist at The “Expert” Center – Center of Psychological Counseling, Department of Psychology, “Babeş-Bolyai” University, Cluj-Napoca. She has a License in psychology and a Master degree in Psychological Counseling and Psychotherapy at “Babeş-Bolyai” University, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. Since 2004, she was a PhD student with the topic “Psycho-pedagogical aspects of the design and evaluation of educational software“ and she is a member of a multidisciplinary team that creates educational software for children. Also she is a course instructor at a national program “ Magister” specialized in the course called “Educational software for pre-schools and pupils.”
